Marquis by Waterford Sheridan 6-Inch Vase SpecificationsAt the inception of their company, Waterford Crystal founders, William and George Penrose, pledged to "create the finest quality crystal for drinking vessels and objects of beauty for the home"--a goal that has been reached and still holds true over 200 years later. One reason for Waterford's continued success is that the company continues to uphold its heritage of using skilled artisans to individually craft each piece into an original, just as it did in the late 1700s. The Marquis collection is Waterford's more affordable line of crystal and is designed to easily transition between casual and formal use. This Marquis crystal piece is manufactured in Poland rather than England but still must pass several strict quality inspections before becoming available for sale. This Sheridan vase style, introduced in May 1997, stands 6 inches tall and has a rounded body with a flared neck and rim. Deep, wide wedge cuts interspersed with elongated cuts rise up the sides of the vase's body, creating a dazzling prismatic effect when they catch the light. A ring of circular cuts surrounds the vase's neck in a striking finale. Waterford Crystal recommends washing this vase by hand as the dishwasher ultimately removes some of the brilliance and weakens the crystal. --Cristina Vaamonde.../ Marquis by Waterford Sheridan 6-Inch Vase / Sheridan
